Forrest Keeling specializes in the production of native plant materials of unique quality: deciduous tree and shrub seedlings and RPMĀ® potted tree liners, as well as a full line of garden market and landscape-sized evergreens, trees, shrubs, ground covers and specimen trees. The Garden Center is a great destination for gardeners! They specialize in Rain gardens, butterfly gardens, no-mow wildflower meadows. Many homeowners are looking to low-maintenance native plants and cultivars to improve their home landscapes. Go see why Forrest Keeling's Garden Center is one of the Midwest's most unique garden centers. They offer a broad selection of native perennials, trees and shrubs as well as improved selections and cultivars.

Forrest Keeling knows that better seed sources results in better plants. Regardless of where a tree is ultimately used, the original geographic source of seed is of paramount importance. This quality, also called, "provenance," dictates characteristics such as dormancy periods, fruiting, flowering and leafing out, and hardiness.
All of their plant material is tagged with tracking information that identifies the original seed source. This allows them to assist you in selecting the proper plant product for your application and geographic area.

Forrest Keeling currently grows over 97 varieties of seedlings, 122 varieties of RPMĀ® potted liners, 22 species of oaks and 27 varieties of nut trees. They specialize in native plant material. Finished stock includes ornamental shrubs, evergreens, and caliper trees up to 3" in diameter. Forrest Keeling has an annual production of over four million seedlings, liner and transplant in more than 200 species. This production is shipped to 49 states, and across borders to Canada and countries of Europe and Asia.
It is Forrest Keeling Nursery's mission to provide their customer with consistent, high quality plant materials, top-notch service and technical assistance to insure their products will continue to perform beyond expectations. The nursery has a stable work force of about 60 employees.
